NU Sci accepts article drafts and pitches for article ideas year-round. We’re looking for Northeastern students who are telling unique and fresh stories of science, covering science happening in Boston and at Northeastern – especially from underrepresented researchers – and writing innovative opinion arguments grounded in scientific research or advocating for new approaches to the practice of science.
After working with an editor to perfect the article, we’ll publish it here on our website. We will consider all online articles for our print magazines, but if you would like to write explicitly for print, indicate so and we’ll add you to our mailing list and notify you when we hold our next print pitch meeting. These are typically Wednesdays at 8 p.m. early on in each semester.
Before submitting, we ask that you review our writing resources, which include our style guide, the template we’d like submissions to follow, and the rules and regulations you’re agreeing to by submitting an article or pitch. After submitting, you can expect to hear from our editor-in-chief and your editor within a few days.
